Something Creative ~ Faux Finish Designs

 Susan's first passion in life was drawing.  This soon led to woodcarving, painting, sewing, gardening, baking and beyond.  Her Dad's huge artistic influence by way of his woodworking expertise and thirst to learn more about various art mediums, sparked a lifelong passion within Susan to always seek the next project doing 'something creative'.  Her early exposure to many Museums, Art Shows, Antique Shows, Flea Markets, and yes ... even Curb shopping for unseen treasures, has instilled an inspiration to always view the environment with a creative eye. 

 Susan's professional life began in New York City working in office administration, later leading to office management.   Her corporate administrative experience has given her a strong respect for communication & organization which has been overwhelmingly welcomed by her clients.  It was upon owning a home that she began creating large-scale faux finishing designs via self-taught techniques. 

  Upon moving to Texas, she earned numerous Certificates of Training thru world renowned decorative arts manufacturer Faux Effects International.  Her advanced workshop training certificates include: Professional Designer Walls I, II, III; RsCrete; and Advanced Finishing Techniques for Furniture & Architectural Decorative Elements.

   It's been her honor to train with the following faux finishing experts: Mr. David Rairick, Mr. Mike MacNeil 'Freeman of the Trade', Faux Celebrity & Master Artisan Mr. Gary Lord, and Mr. Raymond Sandor 'Founder of Faux Effects International'.  Susan has also achieved the honor of assisting in the field one of the most prominent and respected decorative artist in the world,  Master Artisan Mr. Nicola Vigini.   

 Learning continues as Susan explores new techniques and products and is always creating a new design.  She has received high praise for her craftmanship from her teachers, designers, re-model contractors, and most rewardingly from her clients.
